We have an Aviva Community Fund page that needs your votes before the 20th of November to help us secure funding.
We currently have an Aviva Community Fund project page, and we need your votes to help us secure funding for our before/after school and holiday clubs.
Our wraparound care - also known as Combs Clubhouse - provides childcare with trained professionals at a low cost, allowing parents to return to work, knowing that their children are being well cared for. You may have seen that building work has already started on our wraparound care/nursery building to help us extend the service - it has been extremely popular since opening in 2016 and we have a waiting list! However, just because the builders have started, our work isn't over yet!
We work with health professionals to offer the holiday club facility to families in the community that have poor or strained relationships between children and parents, especially vulnerable families or where the parents have poor parenting skills and budget constraints. Family learning sessions are planned for parents/families that are experiencing difficulties to work on joint projects, learning new skills together and building relationships, trust and communication.
We have also been approached by a local Guide, Brownie and Rainbow group, they no longer have use of a hall and they require a low cost, permanent site for their activities. We are keen to help with this for the community, it is very popular and if they cannot find alternative premises children will have to travel to find alternative clubs and those without transport will go without.
